After the checkout process it is not possible to add or change your order.


How do I know that my order is being placed correctly?

You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your order.


If I place a second order on the same day, do I need to pay shipping costs twice?

Every order which is placed separate will be recognized in our system as a single order, and will be shipped separately. So you need to pay shipping costs twice, because we are sending you 2 separate orders.


What is the cooling off period ?

The cooling off period will be 14 days, in these 14 days you will be able to return one or more items of your order.


Are all products directly available?

If a product is no longer in stock, it will not be shown at our webshop. It’s only possible to make an order when the product is in stock. It is possible that, when you have made your order, a product is not available. You will automatically receive an e-mail with the article(s) which are not available. The amount of the product which will not be available will automatically repaid.


I have bought a product in the webshop, but now it’s in sale. Can I get compensation?

We will not give any compensation in case of a price difference. During our Sale period, there are less sizes and colors available. Because you bought your item earlier, you are already in charge of the right size and color. Within the cooling off period it is possible to return the item and order it again to get the sale price. 


Is it possible to order single pieces of a suit in different sizes?

Unfortunately it is not possible to combine different sizes. Both webshop and Brand stores will offer you are Essential Set. Within this set it is possible to buy for example the trousers and jacket in different sizes, also 2 trousers for the same suit. Check out our Van Gils store locator to find the nearest Brand store.

How does delivery work?

If you chose PostNL (Netherlands) or UPS (Belgium) as a sending option your order will be delivered next working day. (if ordered before 7:30 PM)
If ordered after 7:30 PM your order will be delivered within 2 working days.
At this moment Van Gils is only delivering in the Netherlands and Belgium.


Do I need to pay shipping costs?

You will only be paying shipping costs when the order is less than 45 euro. The shipping costs are 5 euro per order. When the order is above 45 euro you will not pay any shipping costs.


Is it possible to make a delivery appointment?

No this is not possible, Van Gils is working with continue delivery to provide you a faster delivery.


Is it possible to send my order to a different address, for example my work?

Yes this is possible, If you fill in a different address at the checkout you will receive your order at the requested address.


Is it possible to pick up my order at one of the Van Gils Brand stores?
No, unfortunately this is not possible.


Is it possible to send my order to a post office box?

This is not possible because the order needs to be received by a person. If it’s not possible to send a packet to your home address you can choose for delivery at your work for example.

How can I pay?

At Van Gils it is possible to pay the following ways:


When paying with Ideal it is possible to make the transaction during the checkout process. You will be linked to the site of your own bank. Please follow the instructions at the website.


Credit card: Visa, MasterCard or American Express
It is possible to fill in the Credit card number via our secured SSL- procedure. We will take care of a correct handling with your credit card company. Your Credit Card will be used at the moment of placing the order.


Is it possible to pay in terms?

No it is not possible to pay in terms.


Is it possible to pay my order in a Brand store?

No it is not possible to pay your order in a Brand store.


My payment will not succeed, how is this possible?

There are several reasons causing payment problems. The next steps may be helping you to succeed the payment:

  • Check the log in of your bank or credit card agency, is this filled in correctly?
  • Select another payment method
  • If you keep getting error notifications, please contact your bank. It’s possible that your bank blocks the transaction due to safety reasons.

If the payment is still not succeed, please contact our customer service.


How will discounts be calculated?

Promotion discounts (for example 3=2 promotion, 2e trousers free etc.) will be calculated over all promotion articles in the shopping bag. An percentage or total discount, which will be obtained by a coupon code, will be calculated over all the articles in the shopping bag.

Please note that the discount will be calculated over the original order, after returning products you will not be in charge of the discount any more. 

Please note that after returning a product it is possible that you have paid a lower price than shown at our webshop. This is a result of the fact that the discount will be calculated over the whole order.

How do I return a product?

The Netherlands, return via a post office or a PostNL Service point.

  • Within every order you will find a return form and a return label. Fill in the return form and add this to your parcel.
  • Stick the return label to your parcel.
  • Drop your parcel at an post office or a PostNL Service point, please indicate that it is a Van Gils return parcel.
  • Keep the shipping ticket with you.


Belgium, return via UPS

  • Within every order you will find an return form and a return label. Fill in the return form and add this to your parcel.
  • Stick the UPS return label to your parcel.
  • Call 078-250-877 (BE) to make a pick up appointment.
  • When calling you will be directed to a menu, select 0 to be connected to a UPS collaborator, please keep the return label in hand, The return number of Van Gils is: A0Y682
  • It is possible to choose the location of the pickup.
  • At the pickup you will receive a ticket. This is your evidence of return.

After receiving your parcel we will, as soon as possible but at least within 14 days make a refund.

It is not possible to return Van Gils products in one of our Van Gils Brand stores.

Please note: The period of return is free until 14 days after delivery.

Returns are only being processed when they are equipped with a correct filled inn return form, and packed in the original packing.


Are there specific requirements to my products, when returning within 14 days?

This are the requirements

Sending back your parcel, within 14 days. as far as possible in the original package.

Complete, so no use and undamaged (Fitting clothing as you would do in store is not recognized as using).

With the added return form including the number of the order.

If the return is not in the original packing material we will charge 25 euro to reconditioning the packing and product. This will be calculated in the credited amount.


Do I get a confirmation of my returned products?

When sending a return package Van Gils will send you a confirmation e-mail when the products are received and processed. It important that you keep your shipping ticket until you are sure that your product are received and processed by us.


Are there any costs when returning products?

No, There are no costs when returning products if you will return them with the return form and label as explained above.


If I send the whole order in return do I get the total price back?

If you are deciding to return your whole order to the webshop  you will receive the total price of the order. This is the price of all the products including the shipping costs. 


Money back

You will receive the amount within 14 days, after you let us know that you will refrain from the sale. However we are in charge to wait with paying back until we received the products. Or at least a shipping ticket. The amount will be transported the same way you have paid.


How will discounts be calculated?

If you order more than one product, the discount of the whole order will be divided into a rate of the total price. When you return an article the discount on that product will not be valid any more. When you return your whole order, your whole discount will not be valid any more.

How do I save points at the Van Gils Exclusive program?

For every euro you spend at one of the Van Gils Brandstores or on the Van Gils webstore you will receive 50 Van Gils Points. To receive the point you need to show you member card when you are shopping in the Brandstore. Or log in when shopping at our webshop. When returning products your points will be reduced.


What is the value of my points?

The point will not represent any financial value, and it’s not possible to exchange the points into direct discounts or cash money.


What to do with the saved points?

When reaching 12500 points you will receive an e-mail with a voucher representing 12,50 euro. You can use this voucher online or in one of our Brand stores when spending at least 50 euro in one order. The voucher validated 2 months after delivery. After receiving the shopping voucher, 12500 points will be deducted of your account.


Do I save points when shopping online?

Yes, with logging in on your account and placing an order, you will automatically save points! Please note that you will not receive any point over Shipping or transaction costs.


How do I know how many points I have saved?

You can easily check your balance by logging in your account. In the right corner above you will find your actual balance. We will also send you an e-mail when you have saved new points. In this email you will find the number of points you have saved.
